Apparently, Monday was National Human Trafficking Day, which has been a topic of much concern among the authors and artists of webcomics I read. You know, a lot of those trafficking victims could end up with this. Dare I ask what you webcomic peoples did for May? That's what I thought.
BUT!
Not being one of the people who ignore whole months but do pay attention to days (actually, the donation drive's lasting two weeks a.k.a. half a month), I would like to express concern for this dark chapter in humanity's history. You see, I once had a conversion with another human being about which was worse: rape or murder. I said murder because death is permanent. Sure, rape is traumatic, but you can get over it given time and maybe a bit of therapy. But I can't use that excuse when the victim gets raped daily. Sex slavery is, indeed, a permanent situation if there is no intervention. The victims have literally nothing to live for. Given that 27 million people are afflicted with this condition (360 billion afflicted with BPD!), I think this is an issue that deserves our concern.
